The first consultation takes about 30 minutes. Before you meet your dentist, you will fill out a medical questionnaire about your previous / current health problems and oral habits related to oral hygiene. Then the dentist will assess the oral health status: it will evaluate the problems of each tooth, the condition of the gums, the way the teeth are seated and come into contact with each other. It will explain and show you what problems are identified, which were the causes that led to them and will tell you what solutions are available. General dental treatment sessions take around 60 minutes, but their length may vary depending on the type of treatment. The first meeting is for consultation only. If you are in a time of crisis and you also want to have a treatment done at the first hearing (e.g. a filing or scraping and professional brushing).
